In-Home Care Funding in Sydney

Working out how to pay for care is often the hardest part. The good news is that most Sydney families qualify for some form of funding, and if you do not yet, you can still start straight away with privately funded care. HomeWise works across every major funding type, so the same carers and nurses support you whichever path you are on.

That includes government-funded aged care through the Support at Home program, NDIS supports for people with disability, DVA-funded care for eligible veterans, and privately funded care with no waiting list. Not sure where you fit? We can talk it through and point you in the right direction, at no cost. Call 1800 717 590.

Funding and Fees: Frequently Asked Questions

The main options are the Support at Home program for older Australians, the NDIS for people with disability, DVA funding for eligible veterans, and privately funded care that you pay for directly. HomeWise delivers care under all of them.

Support at Home is government-subsidised and arranged after an assessment, so there is a wait. Private care is paid for directly and can usually start within days. The services are the same; the difference is who pays and how quickly you can begin.

Yes. Many families begin with privately funded care so support starts straight away, then move some or all of the cost onto a Support at Home or NDIS plan once it is approved.

Government-funded aged care at home starts with an aged care assessment (ACAT/ACAS). We can explain the process and help you get started.

Yes. Tell us your situation and we will walk you through the options and point you to the right assessment or plan, at no cost. Call 1800 717 590.
